NAME
loadipsi - loads IPSI application firmware or boot code to all or specific IPSI boards in the system.
SYNOPSIS
loadipsi [ ( [-a board code] | [-l] | [-c cab#[carrier]] ) [-b] [-r] [-f file] [-s time] | [-d] | [-e] | [-?] ] [-i remote-ip -u remote-user [-w password]]
DESCRIPTION
loadipsi downloads application firmware or boot code from a server to IPSI boards then sends a command to the IPSIs to burn the firmware or boot code to flash memory. An administrator can then use the resetipsi command to boot the IPSI boards. Prior to a download, loadipsi checks the current firmware and boot code versions on all target IPSI boards against the version ready for download. If the version on the boards is equal to or greater than the version on the server then loadipsi will, by default, stop the process. However, the command option -r overrides the version check and allows the download. A download may be scheduled for a future date and time via the -s time option.
The error messages or successful download messages are entered into both the standard output and into the system log file /var/log/messages.
